This was given to my 9-month-old daughter and she loves it. It is the perfect toy for her age. She loves to look at her self in the mirror pan and to roll the pan with the ball in it. These are sturdy and will not break. I don’t have to worry about her safety when playing with them. It is a simple but well thought out toy.

I looked all last summer and couldn’t find any plastic whales/dolphins/sharks that float – but these do! A great pool toy for my 2 year old and all his older and younger friends. I will be getting other polybags -sharks, tigers, etc.

I love Playhut products because they fold up so compactly. Here I had this little package I open up. It just pops open, no assembly needed. I thought it was a mistake. This couldn’t possibly the bed topper. My goodness, it must be a tent! It was huge, the size of my children’s other large Playhut tents. In fact this could be used as a standalone Playhut tent.
We couldn’t do that, my daughter wanted a bed topper, so off we went to put it on her bed. Luckily, we have an Ikea mattress, which is thinner and not as unwieldy as a regular mattress. We have to take the mattress off the bed, put the tent on the bed, slip the mattress into the tent. Voila. The mattress cuts down of height of the tent. If you have a thick mattress, there might not be much room between the canopy and the mattress.
I lay in the bed at night for a few minutes when putting my daughter to sleep. We have to crawl in, but once we’re in, it’s a huge space. She fits completely inside and she can sit up with room to spare. She and her friend play in there. It’s a roomy castle. There are two little windows on each side and a door through the back, I guess the door would be used if we had it as a standalone tent; because it opens up to her headboard.
The only thing on my wish for this tent is that it have an opening on top like some other Playhut tents, but my daughter doesn’t seem to mind.

My three year old nephew wanted a guitar for his birthday, and this one seemed to be the best fit overall for variety of music, volume and visual appeal. It has been a huge hit and my sister-in-law gives it a high mark, so I’m delighted! There isn’t a lot of opportunity for him to actually “play” the guitar but he can strum along and dance to it. Got this for cheap from ebay…it’s super cute and very durable. My 4 yr old loves to play w/ it and her house and other sets. She uses the toy box as a mail box (our set has a toy box although I don’t see it pictured)and balances the floor toy above the crib as a mobile. She always has the baby getting into trouble! Too cute! I love hearing the dialogue she makes up as she plays! We keep this at her grandparents’ house and she runs to it as soon as we arrive. This will be saved for her children to use one day!!!

When my 20-month-old son started unscrewing the handles on the dresser drawers, I knew he needed a screw toy. This toy fit the bill perfectly. It engages him for 10-15 minutes at a time and is compact enough to stash in the diaper bag. The little screw driver is in storage for a few more months, but the screw heads are blocky enough to be easily turned by hand. He enjoys the exercise of color matching the screw and the hole. One of the holes had a flaw in its boring and was too tight for my son to turn. I screwed the screw in and out a few times, added a drop of mineral oil and it now works fine. This is the first toy I’ve bought by this manufacturer, but given the generally high quality of construction, it will not be the last.

This was one of three puzzles we bought for Christmas for our little baby dinosaur (3 year old baby girl). It is the thickest and most durable of them all, and comes with a wooden backing to teach piece placement and keep the puzzle safe. We have found no problems with the board – especially if kept dry as it is not treated wood.
The baby raced through this puzzle and on to the 48 & 60 piece versions (she loves them all), but regularly plays with this one.
We’re definitely a fan of Melissa & Doug’s items and will continue to look for them as we buy more puzzles in the years to come!

After reading everyones reviews on how easily this thing popped i was a little nervous about buying it, especially because i was planning on using it as a tube to float down the river with. after purchase i realized that its not poorly built at all, but little kids are destructive. if you’ve ever seen the caterpillar room in Toy Story 3 then you know what i mean. My 2 buddies and i floated down rapids of this tube, me at 6′1″ 190 lbs, another at 6′2″ 215 lbs, and the last at 5′10″ 160 lbs. Its still alive and well, and the only complaints i have with is it has about 8 different compartments to fill up with air, has only one has a quick release to deflate it, and floats so well that you stay out of the water enough where you float slower. its nice because you stay dry and can brag to your friends when they start to complain about being cold. also the treasure chest holds a 30 pack perfectly for those long floats. Very simply, if you want it as a tube it will last, and everyone will think your insane. but who needs them right?
